2009 Commissioner College Results
Thank you one and all for another outstanding NorCal Commissioner's College. Things get better every year. Thanks to your efforts, we are one of the finest Commissioner's Colleges in the country. We were joined this year by Tico Perez (National Commissioner) and Sam Thompson from the National Office who gave outstanding keynotes. We also hosted the Area III training conference for half the day. The opportunity to share ideas was wonderful.
College in a nutshell:
Attendance: About 220.
Staff and Faculty: 42.
Basic Training Offered: Unit Commissioner Basic (15 students) and Roundtable Commissioner Basic (18 students).
Classes Taught: 31 (A new high).
Degrees Awarded: 91 (32 Associates, 35 Bachelors, 15 Masters, 9 Doctorates).
Councils Served: 15.
Farthest Away Student from: Henderson, Nevada (Approximately 550 miles).
Planning for the 2010 NorCal Commissioner's College has already begun. We will celebrate our 10th College on the 100th anniversary of Scouting. The 2010 College will be tentatively held on Saturday, February 27. The date will be finalized by November of 2009.

The Northern California Commissioner's College is always interested in suggestions and comments which will help us improve our future offerings. We are especially interested in requests for courses. If you would like us to offer a particular course, please send a request to the Dean at the email address below. Include in your request the course number and name, if the course is in our current catalog, or a suggested name and course content if it is a new course.
Teaching for the College
If you would like to be considered for a position on the faculty of the college, send a request to the Dean at the email address below. If you are a member of a sponsoring Council, send a copy of your request to your Council Commissioner. Include in your request your name, council, a brief description of your qualifications, and the number and name, or a description, of the course you would like to teach.
